Reduction of radial clearances of axial compressor flow part for GT700-5 type gas turbine

In November 2018, our company (ATE) has accomplished the project on optimization of axial compressor clearances of GT700-5 type gas turbine. These works were carried out on  Bosoy compressor station (gas pumping station №10) of the “Aktobe” gas pumping network branch “Intergas Central Asia” JSC (Kazakhstan).     GT700-5 is driven industrial  gas turbine with 5 MW output, elaborated in 60-s of last centuries at Nevsky Zavod plant (NZL).

During long operation time casings of gas turbine flow part, particularly of axial compressor, changes. It cause increase of compressor clearances above working blades  and as a result it leads to loss of gas turbine efficiency.

On Bozoy compressor station ATE used a special method of compressor clearances above working blades optimization/reduction (ATE engineers design). This method is based on usage of high temperature resistance polymer covering and application of original technical procedure. It allow to reduce increased gaps and rich  designed required clearances.
